We're Cub Scout Pack 272 - GO Whale Sharks! Our Pack is based at Williams Elementary School in Almaden Valley, CA - although we have Scout members from surrounding areas, as well.
Please see our Pack flyer (WilliamsCubScoutsFlyer.pdf) for a sample of the activities we hold throughout the year. A Scout year starts in August and ends in May, with Scouts graduating to the next rank. Our Pack also normally organizes 2 to 3 family fun activities over the summer.
Scouts are grouped by grade level to form Dens. Dens meet once a month for 1 hour to learn and practice grade-level appropriate activities from the Scout handbook.
In addition, the Pack (all Scouts and families) meets once a month for 1 hour to learn about upcoming events, but mainly just to have fun. We pursue many outdoor activities, games, and service projects around the local community. Some favorites have been the Pinewood Derby, Cub Cart Rally, miniature golf, campouts at local venues, and collecting food for the Second Harvest Food Bank.
